First international conference in Interlingua in four years to happen in Germany, in 2009
Saturday, October 25, 2008
I was wondering when the next conference was going to be. 2005 was when I first became interested in IALs and constructed languages and that was the last time Interlingua had an international conference. They were supposed to have one in 2007 (thus every two years), but there were some problems with location and pricing then:
Isto essera le 18ve Conferentia International de Interlingua, e assi continua le serie de conferentias. Le 17me esseva arrangiate in Svedia in 2005. Desde 1983, le conferentias ha essite arrangiate omne duo annos in annos impar, ma on non succedeva in tempore trovar un location a un precio rationabile pro le arrangiamento planificate pro 2007, e pro isto on decideva postponer le conferentia a 2009.The next conference is going to be in the small German city of Kirchheimbolanden, will go from the 25th of July to the 1st of August, and will cost between 295 and 425 euros.
Who's going? Last time had a participation of a bit under 100, didn't it?

hola Dave,
I don't think I will make it for Interlingua in 2009, but I defeinitely know about Ido conference in 2009. It will most probably take place in Tallinn and I will be organizing it in this case.
Damn! I need to go then. I haven't been to Estonia in far too long. I'll be there if at all possible.
(which means maybe a 1 in 4 chance)
