"It's not rap or rock and roll or some idiot priest with a guitar" - Latin mass returns to Phoenix

Here's another article on the return of the Latin mass to local churches in Phoenix. I think this is about the fourth or fifth local newspaper article I've found in the past few months. This one has a good amount of bashing of modern masses as well with the guitars and clapping and whatnot (something else I've never liked in a church either):

"There is a migration to more traditional services, especially among the young, in part because there is a solemn art form to it, a ritualized performance," said Rodney Stark, a Baylor University professor who studies the sociology of religion. "It's not rap or rock and roll or some idiot priest with a guitar."

I've always liked how Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Vancouver had a Sunday night (Compline) Gregorian chant service around where I used to live for about two years. About half of it was in Latin, the rest in English. Gregorian chant at night is the best.
