Good Will Hunting (Can Dostum) excerpt with Turkish subtitles

Found this video yesterday, one of the best parts of Good Will Hunting:
and decided to write out the Turkish subtitles below to make it easier to copy and paste and whatnot. Movie subtitles are especially interesting when studying a language because they are often not quite as accurate or descriptive as a formal document, but at the same time better for a language learner. Here's why:
Movie subtitles have limited space and are also usually made under a pretty strict deadline, so they don't usually encapsulate the entirety of the original language. Putting in too much detail makes it hard to read. Some movies like Star Wreck have put out a second translated more faithful to the original language for those really interested in exactly what's being said as opposed to just a general idea of how the movie is progressing.
So why are movie subtitles so good for a language learner? The reason why is that you want to break yourself of the habit, if you have it, of trying to translate what you want to say from your native tongue into the language you're using, because more often than not the perfect term won't come up right away. One part of the script below says "does that encapsulate you?" and the Turkish equivalent is "seni anlatır mı"? This actually means "does that explain you?" which is pretty much what the character is saying, and just using anlatmak is better than checking the dictionary and looking up the terms for encapsulate...hmm, kapsamak, içermek, etc. and hoping that it also is used the same way as in English. Another example is further up: "and then it occurred to me" becomes "sonra anladım" which means "then (afterward), I understood".
So when learning another language it's often a very good idea to take notes of the subtitles you'll see in an English movie because this will often show you how to express a difficult concept in much easier terms, and repeating this will turn it into a habit.

Thought about what you said to me the other day, about my painting. | Önceki gün resmim hakkında söylediklerini düşündüm. |
Stayed up half the night thinking about it. | Bütün gece bunu düşündüm. |
Something occurred to me. | Sonra anladım. |
Fell into a deep peaceful sleep, and I haven't thought about you since. |
You know what occurred to me? - No. | Ne anladım biliyor musun? - Hayır. |
You're just a kid. You don't have the faintest idea of what you're talking about. | Sen sadece bir çocuksun. Ne konuştuğunu bile bilmiyorsun. |
Thank you. - It's all right. | Teşekkür ederim. - Bir şey değil. |
You've never been out of Boston. | Boston'dan hiç çıkmadın. |
Nope. | Hayır. |
So if I asked you about art, you'd probably give me the skinny on every art book ever written. | Sana sanat soracak olsam, bana okuduğun kitapları satmaya kalkacaksın. |
Michelangelo. You know a lot about him. Life's work, political aspirations, him and the Pope, sexual orientation, the whole works, right? | Michelangelo. Hakkında çok şey biliyor musun? Çalışmalarını, politik etkilerini, papayla ilişkilerini, cinsel tercihlerini, bütün çalışmalarını söylersin. |
But I bet you can't tell me what it smells like in the Sistine Chapel. | Ama Sistine Kilisesi'nin kokusunu söyleyemezsin. |
You've never actually stood there and looked up at that beautiful ceiling...seen that. | Çünkü oraya gerçekten gidip o güzel tavana bakmadın. Görmedin. |
If I ask you about women, you'd probably give me a syllabus about your personal favourites. You may have even been laid a few times. | Sana kadınları sorsam, neleri sevdiğin hakkında bir sürü şey sayarsın. Belki bir iki kere yatmışsındır da. |
But you can't tell me what it feels like to wake up next to a woman and feel truly happy. |
You're a tough kid. | Zorlu bir çocuksun. |
I ask you about war, you'd probably throw Shakespeare at me, right? "Once more into the breach, dear friends." |
But you've never been near one. | Ama hiç savaş görmedin. |
You've never held your best friend's head in your lap, and watched him gasp his last breath, looking to you for help. |
I ask you about love, you'd probably quote me a sonnet. | Sana aşkı sorsam sonelerden alıntı yapacaksın. |
But you've never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable, known someone that could level you with her eyes. |
Feeling like God put an angel on Earth just for you, who could rescue you from the depths of hell. | Tanrının seni cehennemden kurtarması için indirdiği melek olduğunu düşünmedin. |
And you wouldn't know what it's like to be her angel. To have that love for her, be there forever. Through anything. Through cancer. Her şeye rağmen. Kansere rağmen. |
And you wouldn't know about sleeping sitting up in a hospital room for two months, holding her hand, because the doctors could see in your eyes that the terms "visiting hours" don't apply to you. |
You don't know about real loss. Cause that only occurs when you love something more than you love yourself. | Gerçek kayıp ne bilmiyorsun. Çünkü hiçbir şeyi kendinden daha fazla sevmedin. |
I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much. | Birini bu kadar sevmeye bile cesaret edememişsindir. |
I look at you, I don't see an intelligent, confident man. I see a cocky, scared shitless kid. | Sana bakında kendine güvenen bir entelektüel görmüyorum. Ürkek bir velet görüyorum. |
But you're a genius, Will. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you. | Ama sen bir dahisin. Bunu kimse inkar edemez. Kimse senin derinliklerini anlayamaz. |
But you presume to know everything about me because you saw a painting of mine; you ripped my fucking life apart. | Sırf bir resmimi gördün diye hakkımda her şeyi bildiğini sanıyorsun. Hayatımı yorumladın. |
You're an orphan, right? | Yetimsin değil mi? |
Do you think I'd know the first thing about how hard your life has been, how you feel, who you are, because I read Oliver Twist? | Sırf Oliver Twist'i okudum diye hayatının ilk dönemlerinde neler hissettiğini anlayabilir miyim? |
Does that encapsulate you? | Bu seni anlatır mı? |
Personally, I don't give a shit about all that because you know what? I can't learn anything from you I can't read in some fucking book... | Şahsen umurumda bile değilsin. Senden bir şey öğrenemem. Sen kim olduğunu anlatmak istemezsen... |
unless you want to talk about you, who you are. | ...sırf kitap okudum diye seni anlayamam. |
And I'm fascinated. I'm in. | Anlatırsan ben varım. |
But you don't want to do that, do you sport? | Ama sen istiyor musun? |
You're terrified of what you might say. | Söyleyebileceklerinden korkuyorsun. |
Your move, chief. | Sıra sende şef. |
