Russia and Uzbekistan have come to an agreement on the preparations for a new natural gas pipeline project.

Gazetecilere açıklama yapan Miller, Rusya ve Özbekistan'ın şu anda faaliyette olan “Orta Asya-Merkez" doğalgaz boru hattına paralel olacak yeni doğalgaz boru hattı projesinin hazırlanması konusunda anlaştıklarını ifade ederek, söz konusu projenin mali tutarı ve süresini açıklamadı.

(President of Gazprom) Miller in a statement to journalists said that they had come to an agreement on preparations for a new natural gas pipeline which would run parallel to the currently active "Central Asia-Centre" pipeline between the two countries, and spoke of the project's financial scope and period.

Miller, ayrıca bu yıl Özbekistan'dan 15 milyar metreküp civarında Özbek doğalgazını satın almayı hedeflediğini ifade ederken, söz konusu doğalgazın fiyatı hakkında bilgi vermedi.

Miller said that he aimed for a purchase of around 15 billion cubic metres of natural gas from Uzbekistan for this year, but did not give any information on the price of this gas.

Özbekistan, yıllık 67 milyar metreküp doğalgaz üretirken, bunun büyük bir kısmını ülke içinde tüketiyor, 17 milyar metreküpünü ise Rusya, Tacikistan ve Kırgızistan'a satıyor.

Uzbekistan produces 67 billion cubic metres of natural gas yearly, using a large part of this in internal consumption and sells 17 billion cubic metres to Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
