China now has a third of the world market for solar cells, wind power way up

The Telegraph has an article here on China's huge investment in green energy, expected to bring "grid parity" (when the price for green energy vs. non-renewable energy achieves parity) by 2013. The article mentions the "green power crown" that China has seized from Europe in being particularly aggressive in its investment in the sector, but note that when looking at the numbers per capita countries like Denmark still produce the most - Denmark derives over a fifth of its energy from wind power alone. Still, the Chinese government is 100% correct on this, and it will be a very big deal once grid parity is finally achieved considering their population. It's also interesting that organizations one would never think of as being particularly green like the US Army are also involved in a pretty big expansion into green energy. Not because it's green and feels good to use but because it's practical, and/or necessary.
Here's the wind power produced by country over the past few years (more countries can be seen here). China has skyrocketed compared to the others.
