Euronews in Turkish to begin January 30; Persian is next
Thursday, January 21, 2010
Okay, we now have an exact date - Euronews will begin broadcasting in Turkish on the 30th of January, so just 10 days from now. Prime Minister Erdoğan will be there to inaugurate the new channel so it's a pretty big deal.
Turkish will be the 9th language that Euronews broadcasts in, and according to this article the next language up will be Persian, with a goal of late 2010 to begin broadcasting. The more uncensored information there is in Persian the better, though it's a pity that it won't begin until the end of the year.
If you have a friend in Iran you want to send this information to, go with this link.
