Chess in Armenia, Latin interpretation, RhinoSpike
Monday, March 25, 2013
Three quick things to mention today:
-- Chess to become mandatory in schools in Armenia
-- Here's what simultaneous Latin interpretation looks like. Glad the stream I listened from didn't have this, because I was trying to follow it myself. This video has an unusually large number of thumbs down, probably a combination of anti-Catholic sentiment (though the interpreter is not necessarily Catholic or even religious) and linguistic envy.
-- RhinoSpike looks like a good place to find free audio recordings with matching text, as well as to request your own. I could see myself requesting something there later - something less common like Persian or Armenian or even European Portuguese or Occitan. Actually the transcription request looks good too.
