Caspian Sea work meeting between Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan

Iran Foreign Minister Mottaki: Caspian Sea Must Be Divided in Just Manner

İran Dışişleri Bakanı Manuçehr Mutteki, Hazar Denizi'nin hukuki statüsünün kıyıdaş beş ülkenin beklentilerine uygun şekilde belirlenmesi gerektiğini söyledi.

The foreign minister of Iran, Manouchehr Mottaki (منوچهر متکی), said that the Caspian Sea's legal status needed to be designated in an appropriate manner by the five countries around its shore.

Mutteki, başkent Tahran'da bu sabah başlayan Hazar Denizi çalışma toplantısına katılan temsilcilerden Hazar'ın istikrar ve güvenliği ile sahip olduğu zenginliklerin yanı sıra çevresel konulara da önem vermelerini istedi. İranlı bakan, Hazar kaynaklarının kıyıdaş ülkeler arasında adil bir şekilde paylaşılması gerektiğini vurguladı.

The Caspian Sea work meeting began this evening in the capital of Tehran, where Mottaki asked that the representatives at the meeting consider environmental issues along with stability and security in the sea and its riches. The Iranian minister emphasized that the Caspian's resources must be divided up in a just manner along with the nations along its shore.

Tahran'dan iki gün sürecek çalışma toplantısına İran, Kazakistan, Türkmenistan, Rusya ve Azerbaycan'dan temsilciler katılıyor. Toplantıda, Rusya'da önümüzdeki aylarda düzenlenecek Hazar semineriyle, Bakü'de yapılacak dışişleri bakanları zirvesinde ele alınacak konular da görüşülecek.

In the work meeting to take place over two days, representatives from Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Azerbaijan are taking part. In the meeting, along with discussing Russia's Caspian seminar upcoming in the next few months, they will also discuss the subjects to be dealt with in the summit of foreign ministers to take place in Baku.

Toplantıda Azerbaycan'ı özel temsilci Halaf Halafov başkanlığındaki bir heyet katılırken, Rusya ise Tahran Büyükelçisi Alexander Sadovnikov tarafından temsil ediliyor.

In the meeting Azerbaijan's special representative Halaf Halafov is taking part in the ministry's committee, while Russia is represented by their ambassador to Tehran, Alexander Sadovnikov.
