What I really like about Lingua Franca Nova is that all new words come into the language through actual usage when writing articles in the language, as opposed to simply picking new words to expand a dictionary without knowing whether they will be used or not. The exception to this of course is specialized vocabulary (medical & technical terms for example), because there's no way to get around that.
