Crisis on Wall Street made worse by annoying photographers
Wednesday, September 17, 2008
That's what I always imagine anyway. Every time there's a crisis on the stock market we're treated to photo after photo of poor stock traders in the moment for the customary 'stock trader with head in hands' picture as they watch everything crash. It's a morbid ritual like the weatherman/woman with the mic standing as close to the hurricane they're reporting as possible. How about a photograph some time of a confident stock trader intelligently navigating the storm? Poor, poor stock traders. They should get revenge on the media by snapping pictures of stressed out journalists hunched over a laptop while working on something crucially important right before a rapidly approaching deadline.
(These are all AP photos, from ctvnews.ca, Washington Post, etc.)
