UNICEF to give aid to Uzbekistan

Birleşmiş Milletler Çocuk Fonu (UNİCEF), Özbekistan'daki sağlık sektörüne 3,8 milyon avroluk yardım yapacak.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) will give 3.8 million Euro worth of aid to the health sector in Uzbekistan.

UNICEF Taşkent Temsilciliğinden yapılan açıklamada, UNİCEF'in ülkenin sağlık sektöründeki acil tıbbi yardım ve doğum evleri çalışanlarının meslek içi eğitimini amaçlayan projesi çerçevesinde, sağlık personelinin eğitimi için 8 eğitim merkezi kurulacağı, ayrıca mevcut 6 eğitim merkezinin modernize edileceği kaydedildi.

In a statement by UNICEF's representation in Tashkent, UNICEF has a project aiming for first aid and vocational training for those working in maternity houses in the country's health sector, where eight education centres for health personnel will be set up and six existing education centres will be modernized.

Açıklamada, uygulamanın ekim ayında başlatılacağı, 2,5 yıl sürecek proje kapsamında 13,4 bin sağlık çalışanının meslek içi eğitime tabi tutulacağı bildirildi.

In the statement it was said that it would begin to be carried out in October, and that 13,400 health workers would be given vocational training in the two and a half year project.

Öte yandan Güney Kore hükümeti, Özbekistan'a devlet arşivinin modernizasyonu için 3 milyon dolarlık yardımda bulunacak.

Özbekistan Cumhurbaşkanı İslam Kerimov tarafından onaylanan kararname, ülkedeki devlet arşivlerinin sanal ortama aktarılması ve ülkede elektronik arşivler oluşturulmasını öngörülüyor.

A decree approved by Uzbek President Islom Karimov is projected to increase the nation's virtual archives and create electronic archives within the country.

Kararnamede, proje kapsamında 2008-2009 yıllarında Güney Kore hükümetinin ayıracağı 3 milyon dolarlık yardımın kullanılacağı kaydedilirken, bu yardımın, iki ülke arasında enformasyon teknolojileri, devlet elektronik arşivlerinin oluşturulması ve bunların teknik olarak donatılması alanındaki işbirliği çerçevesinde kapsamında verildiği belirtildi.

The decree mentions that in the course of the project the 3 million dollars of aid set aside from South Korea will be used in 2008 to 2009, and that this aid will be given in information technology between the two countries, creation of electronic archives and cooperation in equipping these from a technical point of view.
