Barack Obama already surpasses John Kerry's 2004 run in newspaper endorsements
Tuesday, October 28, 2008
That's what seems to be the case if you look at the two Wikipedia pages here and here for 2008 and 2004, respectively. The first one gives 218 to 80 so far in Obama's favour this year, and the second gives the numbers for the last race, which were 208 for Kerry and 189 for Bush, not a huge difference. Editor & Publisher has the numbers so far at 180 to 75, but it isn't updated continuously like Wikipedia is so Wikipedia's numbers are worth following as well.
