İran, para birimi riyalden üç sıfır atmaya hazırlanırken, Türkiye'nin bu konudaki başarısını örnek gösterdi.

Iran is preparing to remove three zeroes from its monetary unit the rial, an area where Turkey has served as an example of success.

İran Meclisi Ekonomi Komisyonu Başkanı Gulamrıza Mesbahi Mukaddem, riyalden en az üç sıfır atmanın zorunlu olduğunu belirtti.

The head of the Iranian Parliament's Economic Commission Golamreza Mesbahi Mukaddem indicated that at least three zeroes would need to be taken off the rial.

Mukaddem, "Paradan sıfır atılmasının enflasyonla mücadeleye olumlu etkisi olacak. Bu konuda parasından altı sıfır atan Türkiye ile 14 sıfır atan Almanya'nın tecrübesi başarılı sonuç vermiştir" ifadelerini kullandı.

Mukaddem stated that "Taking off zeroes from the currency will be a positive influence in the fight with inflation. The experience of Turkey which took off six zeroes and Germany which took off fourteen had successful results."

Sıfırların silinmesiyle para biriminin de değişeceğini belirten Mukaddem, Merkez Bankası'nın konuya ilişkin çalışmalarının sürdüğünü söyledi.

Mukaddem indicated that the monetary unit would change with the removal of the zeroes, and that the Central Bank was continuing to work on the issue.

Merkez Bankası ve hükümet yetkilileri de, enflasyonla mücadele programı çerçevesinde paradan sıfır atılmasının gündemde olduğunu açıklamışlardı.

The Central Bank and government officials also stated that removing zeroes from the currency was on the agenda in the fight against inflation.

İran'da en büyük banknot olan 50 bin riyal geçen yıl piyasaya sürülmüştü.

Last year in Iran the largest banknote ever, a 50,000 rial note, entered the market.
