This reminds me, I'm thinking of putting up an open thread on something I've been wondering: is there any statistical correlation on how well Europeans understand American politics compared to their mother tongue? That is, whether people from the U.K. and Spain for example have an overall better understanding simply from being able to directly read the news, or whether political news is sufficiently well translated into other languages that it makes no difference. If no one knows I'll put it up in an open thread again in a few days' time or try to find out somewhere else.
