Güler: Iran promised not to cut off natural gas

İran'dan Türkiye'ye gelen doğalgazın geçen kış kesilmesi ve sıkıntı yaşanması üzerine Türkiye aynı sorunu da bu yıl yaşamamak için girişimde bulundu ve İran'dan aldığı doğalgazın kış aylarında kesilmeyeceği konusunda garanti aldığını açıkladı.

Last winter there was distress from the natural gas going from Iran into Turkey being cut off. This year Turkey has been attempting to make sure the same problem doesn't happen this year, and has obtained a guarantee that the natural gas obtained from Iran will not be cut off during the winter months.

İran'dan ithal ettiği doğalgaz miktarını artırmak isteyen Türkiye, doğalgaz ihtiyacının yüzde 30'unu İran'dan temin ediyor. Bu oran yılda 10 milyar metreküp doğalgaza karşılık geliyor.

Turkey has requested an increase of the volume of natural gas imported from Iran, where it gets 30 percent of its natural gas needs. This ratio is equivalent to 10 billion cubic metres of natural gas per year.

Dünyanın ikinci büyük rezervine sahip İran, yerel doğalgaz ihtiyacını karşılayamaması üzerine geçen kış Türkiye'ye doğalgaz sevkıyatını kesmişti.

Iran has the second largest reserves in the world, and last winter cut off natural gas shipments to Turkey due to local natural gas needs.

Enerji alanında işbirliğini güçlendirmek amacıyla İran'ı ziyaret eden Enerji ve Tabii Kaynaklar Bakanı Hilmi Güler, "İranlı yetkililerle görüşmelerimiz olumluydu. Türkiye'ye bu kış yapılacak doğalgaz sevkıyatında herhangi bir sorun olmayacağı konusunda söz verdiler" dedi.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Güler visited Iran in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of energy, saying that "Our meetings with the Iranian officials were positive. They promised that there would be no problems at all with the natural gas shipments this winter to Turkey."

Güler'in İran'ın doğalgaz endüstrisinin kalbi Assalouyeh'de yaptığı açıklama, İran Petrol Bakanlığı'nın internet haber sitesi SHANA'da yer aldı.

The statement Güler made in Assalouyeh, the heart of Iran's natural gas industry, appeared on the Iranian Oil Ministry's internet news site SHANA.

Ayrıca İran devlet radyosu İran Enerji Bakanı Parviz Fattah'ın iki ülkenin 6,000 Megawatt (MW) kapasiteli enerji santralleri kurmak için anlaşmaya vardığını söylediğini bildirdi.

Iran national radio also said that Iranian Energy Minister Parviz Fattah (سید پرویز فتاح) had said that the two countries had come to an agreement on the setting up of energy power plants with a capacity of 6,000 Megawatts.

Güler ile görüşmesi sonrasında açıklama yapan Fattah, "Bu santrallerden bir kısmını Türkiye'nin İran sınırı yakınlarında, bir kısmını da İran'da inşa etmek için anlaştık" dedi. Fattah santrallerde kullanılacak yakıtın İran tarafından sağlanacağını belirtti.

Fattah said in a statement after the meeting with Güler that "We've agreed that part of these power plants will be constructed in Turkey close to the Iranian border, and another part will be constructed in Iran." Fattah explained that the fuel to be used in the power plants would be provided from the Iranian side.

Fattah ayrıca İran'da hidroelektrik santrali kurmak konusunda planları olduğunu belirtti. Yetkililer önceki görüşmelerde hidroelektrik santralin kapasitesinin 10,000 MW olacağını belirtmişlerdi.

Fattah also said that there were plans to set up a hydroelectric power plant in Iran. Authorities in previous meetings had said that the capacity of the hydroelectric power plant would be 10,000 MW.

Fattah, "Eğer bunlar anlaşmalarda yer alırsa, üretilecek enerji sınırdan Türkiye'ye, projelere katkısı oranında aktarılacaktır" dedi.

Fattah said that "If these have a place in the agreements, the energy produced will be sent from the border into Turkey at the contribution rate of the projects."
