Racist Austrian helps aid racial solidarity in the U.S.

This post shows something I've been thinking about since the election:

Der Spiegel reports that "the Wolf Blitzer of Austria" is among them, and got in some trouble for saying, "I wouldn't want the Western world to be directed by a black man."

The story continues:

Emmerich himself voiced no regret. On the contrary, he even took a harder line in subsequent interviews. Obama's victory was an "extremely disconcerting development" he told the Austrian Standard on Wednesday, because "blacks aren't as politically civilized." Meanwhile, he told Die Presse in an interview published on Friday that Obama has "a devil-like talent to present his rhetoric so effectively."

I wanted to write a post on this for a few days but couldn't think of a good way to explain it, but now there's a good example above. Now that Barack Obama's being election is an over and done deal and the Bradley Effect never materialized, anything from the outside like the above is going to look more and more ridiculous and will probably only succeed in aiding racial solidarity in the U.S. Even on the GOP side, if there's one group of people they don't want to emulate it's Western Europeans, and over the next while there'll probably be a certain amount of this eye-rolling rhetoric from the outside that will provoke criticism from both sides of the spectrum.

And for proof of that you only need to look at this post at freerepublic.com, about as much of an anti-Obama site as you can get, and even there most posters are offended by this criticism of Obama. One example:

Absolutely, nothing funny about it at all. Lbama® may not be qualified to rule but it has nothing to do with his race.

This guy is an asshat
