Hm.
Appearing on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report", the late night satirical news show hosted by Colbert, astronaut Sunita "Suni" Williams broke the news that the space agency would not be naming the new Node 3 module after the comedian. Instead, the space agency gave him the consolatory honor as the namesake for the International Space Station's (ISS) upgraded treadmill.
In a few more hours we'll have a video to watch and embed here that will show her on the show and Stephen's reaction.
That means his name will be put on this:
instead of this:
Edit: okay, they did a good job on the patch here as well as the acronym:

You can tell that Colbert is very happy with the selection and I suppose that was a fairly good solution to the issue; the patch and the acronym showed that they put a lot of thought into it instead of just saying yeah, you can get the treadmill, consider the matter closed and please don't bug us again. Colbert has had a bit of disappointment before (the Hungarian bridge) so I suspect deep down (the real Stephen Colbert) he was expecting there would be a good chance that he would simply get turned down flat somehow.
