Planta de energía nuclear Susquehanna, con dos reactores de agua en ebullición (BWR).
This seems to be an issue in Spain as I see it on Menéame all the time, and I think (since I know almost nothing about Spain) it has to do with having to buy nuclear energy from France when they could be making it themselves. An article today has the results of a poll in Spain on increasing nuclear energy use.
The 49% in favour is on the lower level, along with Germany (50%) and Greece (49%). Compared to that, other countries such as India (96%), China (91%), South Africa (81%) and United States (81%) are in favour of an augmentation of nuclear energy.
In other news, the nuclear energy industry in the US is hiring and you can read an interview with Energy Secretary Stephen Chu on disposal of nuclear waste here.
