Haiti's tiny airport

A post here on Crooks & Liars shows just why it's so difficult to get so much aid into the Port-au-Prince area within a short period of time, including an overhead view of the only airport there, containing a single airstrip. The airport usually receives about three takeoffs and landings a day (although I read somewhere else that it was sometimes around twenty), and now this has increased to 600.
Let's also take a look at the airport compared to a number of other airports throughout the world too, by using the same scale. Here is the one in Port-au-Prince:
