Ted.com translation stats for February 2010

It's been another six weeks since we last took a look at the numbers for Ted.com's translation project, so let's see which languages have produced the most translations since then. The graph now looks like this:

The languages on the list are exactly the same as six weeks ago, so no languages have dropped off from or been added to the list. Now let's take a look at the change over the past six weeks:


Arabic: 206 --> 238 (+32)
Bulgarian: 295 --> 358 (+63)
Chinese (both traditional and simplified): 289 --> 393 (+104)
Croatian: 30 --> 38 (+8)
Czech: 28 --> 36 (+8)

Just about every language on the list has produced more translations than over the six-week period before. Bulgarian continues to be the most impressive, with a phenomenal 358 videos for a language only spoken by about 10 million people. Dutch, Hebrew, Turkish, and Romanian have really picked up speed as well.

Canadian French also has 11 videos so those should be added to the total for French.
