Bulgaria gives aid to Georgia

Bulgaristan Dışişleri Bakanı İvaylo Kalfin, Gürcistan'a 40 ton insani yardım göndereceklerini bildirdi.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin (Ивайло Георгиев Калфин) has said that Bulgaria would be sending 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Georgia.

Kalfin, Bulgaristan Devlet Radyosu'na (BNR) açıklamasında, yardımın gelecek hafta uçakla gönderileceğini belirtti.

In a statement on Bulgarian National Radio (BNR, Българско национално радио), Kalfin said that the aid would be sent by plane next week.

Bulgaristan Dışişleri Bakanı Kalfin, "Bölgede bulundurulacak barış gücüne Rus askerlerin katılmaması gerçekçi bir yaklaşım olmaz" diye konuştu.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Kalfin said that "it wouldn't be a logical approach to not have Russian soldiers participating in the peace forces to be kept in the region."

Bu arada Bulgaristan Dışişleri Bakan Yardımcısı Milen Keremidçiev'in, Gürcistan'daki Fransa Büyükelçisi Eric Fournier ile birlikte, çatışma bölgesinde ateşkes ilanından sonra incelemelerde bulunmak üzere Gori kentine girmeye çalışırken Rus askerleri tarafından durdurulduğu açıklandı.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Milen Keremidchiev (Милен Керемидчиев) and France's ambassador to Georgia Eric Fournier said they were stopped by Russian soldiers when they attempted to enter the city of Gori to investigate after the ceasefire declaration in the region of conflict.

Keremidçiev, Sofya'da yayın yapan Darik adlı radyoya açıklamasında, "Gori'ye girmeye çalışırken Rus askerleri tarafından durdurulduk. Öte yandan Rus askerlerin Gori'den ayrılmadıklarını, tam tersi Tiflis'e doğru ilerlediklerini görüyoruz. En az 10 tank ve çok sayıda zırhlı aracın aynı istikamette ilerlediğini gördük" dedi.

Keremidchiev said in a statement to Darik radio broadcast in Sofia that "we were stopped by Russian soldiers as we tried to get into Gori. At the same time we see Russian soldiers leaving Gori and turning around straight for Tbilisi. We saw at least 10 tanks and a large number of armoured vehicles advancing in the same direction."

Bakan Yardımcısı Keremidçiev, Gori kentinin tamamen Rus kontrolünde olduğunu, son derece kalabalık olan Rus askerlerinin dikkati çektiğini belirterek, "Çevremizde ağaçların, tarlaların, ormanların, her şeyin yakılarak küle çevrilmiş olduğunu görüyoruz" diye konuştu.

Vice Minister Keremidchiev reported that the city of Gori was in complete Russian control, and that there was a huge throng of Russian soldiers, saying that "around us we see trees, fields, forests, everything being burned into ashes."

Güvenliğinin sağlanamayacağından dolayı Gori'ye muhtemelen giremeyeceğini ifade eden Keremidçiev, buradan Erivan'a geçmeyi planladığını kaydetti.

Keremidchiev said that he likely would not be able to get into Gori due to not being able to be provided security, and that from hereon he planned to pass through Yerevan.
