Turkish Airlines stops flights to Georgia

Türk Hava Yolları'nın (THY), Rusya'nın hava saldırılarının artması üzerine Tiflis ile İstanbul arasındaki bazı seferler iptal edildi. Batum uçuşları da Trabzon'a yönlendirildi.

Turkish Airlines (THY) has cancelled a number of flights in between Tbilisi and Istanbul because of increased Russian air strikes. Flights to Batumi will also be directed to Trabzon.

THY yetkililerinden alınan bilgiye göre Rus uçaklarının Tiflis Havalimanı'na yakın yerdeki Sovyet döneminde uçak fabrikası olarak kullanılan bir binayı bombalaması üzerine dün gece İstanbul'dan Tiflis'e, bu sabah Tiflis'ten İstanbul'a ve saat 13.10'da İstanbul'dan Tiflis'e yapılacak seferleri iptal edildi. Bundan sonraki Tiflis uçuşlarının bölgedeki gelişmelere göre planlanacağı ifade edildi.

According to information from officials from Turkish Airlines, Russian planes have bombed a building in an area close to Tbilisi Airport that was used as an airplane factory during the Soviet period, and due to this this morning's Tbilisi-Istanbul and the 1:10 pm Istanbul-Tbilisi flights have been cancelled. They said that Tbilisi flights would be planned in accordance with developments in the region.

THY'nin Batum'a düzenlediği seferler de Trabzon Havalimanı'na yönlendirildi. Uçakla Trabzon'a gelen yolcuların Batum istikametine transferleri ise otobüslerle sağlanıyor.

Turkish Airlines flights to Batumi have also been directed to Trabzon Airport. Passengers coming to Trabzon by plane will be provided transfers by bus to Batumi.
