More Haitian Creole in New York
Thursday, September 11, 2008
There's an image of a palm card here on Politico.com which they've put up because of something to do with using only Barack Obama's picture instead of the candidate's and making it look like an endorsement when the quote is quite vague, but the interesting part is the presence of Haitian Creole:
Tojou Avek Nou! - Always with us, or Toujours avec nous in Parisian French. Google turns up much more for "toujou" than "tojou" though so it's probably spelled wrong. I thought it looked a bit stronge. New York also recently added foreign language service in Haitian Creole amongst other languages.
