Page F30 poll result on the Persian alphabet

I'm taking this poll down now so it's time to post the results for posterity with the most popular responses on top:

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THE PERSIAN ALPHABET (SELECT ALL ANSWERS THAT APPLY)

It's fine as is. -- 71 (39%)
Persian should all be written in the Latin alphabet. -- 48 (26%)
Iran and Afghanistan should switch to the Latin alphabet. -- 37 (20%)

I'm undecided on this question myself. I agree that it's fine as it is in that it has a certain charm that way, but I also agree that moving entirely to the Latin alphabet could be good in the long term. Or, as somebody suggested in the comments (who probably voted other), Perso-Arabic script with the short vowels indicated is also as readable as Persian in the Latin script. Other alphabets could also work for Persian as well as the Latin alphabet (personally I think Persian would look cool written in the Armenian alphabet), and maybe the Cyrillic alphabet would work because Tajikistan already uses it. So I suppose my opinion is that whatever the Persians want to do with the language will be fine.
